In 1963 was produced the first Vespa V 50, characterized by the small flap of the cover, the back light metal not yet rectangular, engine bonnet metal instead of plastic, cruise shift to three instead of four stems and large car-type seat bicycle, with the possibility of adding another for the passenger seat. The engine 50 cm ³ was accompanied by a three-speed gear, a power of 1.5 bhp at 4500 rpm and weighed only 66 kg. Subsequently been replaced with the other three improved versions: 50N, 50L, 50R.
