Version "Renewed" ( 1969 ): evolution of the N and L from which it inherits some special features. The abbreviations frame ranging from V5A1T-700 001 to V5A1T-938 761. It was produced from 1969 to 1983 in 238,762 copies. It was certainly, together with the Special, one of the "Vespini" the most successful although it has not enjoyed the same charm as the sister Special precisely. This is mainly due to the fact that R was carrying the legacy of the Vespa style classic round headlight produced until then, that there was nothing against innovation and the contrast of fresh lighthouse painting Special (besides the fact that he had all 3-speed production against 4 of the Special). This wasp was produced in two different series:
First series : 69 to 70 has closed circles, not Hydraulic front shock absorber type, devoid of bordofaro, frieze on the front fender, striped rubber footplate prior written italic oblique tap lever in aluminum and engine code V5A1M, as previous models grid Flywheel V and internal coil, since 1971 the engine becomes V5A2M always with inner coil, the circles become open from 9 "drum starlet.
Second series : 72 to 74 were written in horizontal front, new knobs and levers; 74 to 78 change written, serial numbers, and print the flywheel over to the tank that has no holes for fastening the saddle seat from 1975 the motor always V5A2M no longer has the inner coil; from 78 to 83 changes the section of the brake pedal and the associated grommet.
