After the success of the Vespa Super Sport 180, Piaggio puts the new 180cc vehicle on the market with a completely new mechanics and frame, which derive from the Vespa Sprint of 1966, with some aesthetical changes to the handlebar, storage box and saddle. The Vespa Rally 180 is still one of the most functional and best looking vehicles. Its production began in 1968 and ended in 1973, with a total of 26,000 vehicles built.
Founded in 1968 with chassis number 001001 VSD1T and produced until 1973 0027495 VSD1T mounted a muffler high performance but very muted, a melting pot of technology for its time; carburettor Dell'Orto SI20/20. Available in four colors: yellow positano, yellow, orange, chrome yellow and metallic silver.
Piaggio The highlight of the house, the successor of GS: the Vespa 180 Rally. The engine has the same displacement of 180 SS but radically changes in the fuel system: the old system leaves room lights crossed admission controlled by the rotating crankshaft web, solution already tested by Piaggio but on a smaller space requirements. In fact, the 180 cm ³. Vespa Rally are given by a slight variation of bore and stroke now were increased to 63.5 mm. x 57 mm. Even the muffler is new, more powerful and silent. Aesthetically it is a mix between the 180 SS and Sprint with the exception of the handlebar which is newly designed, headlight, speedometer and knobs included. On the fork there is a return to the past with separate spring absorber.
